The Concept
Low GSM = summer · High GSM = winter & weddings
GSM is the weight per square metre. Lower GSM means lighter, airier, more breathable — made for summer and daily wear. Higher GSM means denser, warmer, structured drape — made for winter, festivals, and weddings. The same fabric category (cotton, silk) can be either, depending on the weave.
Low GSM = airy summer drape
High GSM = wedding-grade

When a customer asks “which saree should I wear for my friend’s wedding lunch?” — don’t guess. Match the GSM to the moment. Outdoor day event = low GSM. Evening reception = high GSM. The MRP is already on the listing; your job is to make the customer feel she’s picking exactly right.
"It’s an afternoon wedding outdoors — you want low GSM, around 80–110. The Chanderi will drape soft and let you breathe. The Kanjivaram is stunning, but at 350 GSM it’s designed for an evening hall, not a sunny lawn."
