WEEK 1 · FABRIC FOUNDATIONS
Reading a Fabric Label Like You Wrote It
Five things on every label. Same five on every product listing. Know them cold — your customer will.
The Concept
The label = the truth about the cloth
Every fabric piece has a label that tells you five things — fibre, weight, origin, care, authenticity. Every product listing in your store carries those same five answers — already written, ready to read. Your job is to know the listing cold, so when a customer asks in DMs, in a comment, or on WhatsApp, you can answer like you know the cloth yourself.

How to Use This in Your Store
Your Brand Edge
When a customer asks about a piece — on Instagram, in a DM, or on WhatsApp — open the product listing and answer with the five facts. You don’t have to remember everything; the listing is already written for you. Your job is the conversation, not the spec sheet. And when the order ships, it goes out with your brand’s custom label, invoice, and thank-you card — so the customer remembers your brand at unboxing, not the platform behind it.
"The listing says: 100% mulberry silk, 25 momme, Silk Mark certified, woven in Varanasi. Care: dry-clean only. So when she wears this, she's wearing real Banarasi mulberry — not polyester art silk that just looks like one."
💡
Remember this always: The label isn’t a formality — it’s a proof document. Every piece in your store comes with those five answers ready on its listing, and every order ships out with your custom label, invoice, and thank-you card. Your job: know the source cold, talk about it on Instagram and in DMs, and let the branded shipment do the rest. Customers buy — and come back — for brand owners who know their product.
